Cost-Effective Control of Technical Cleanliness in SMT Production
Abstract
Are you faced with the challenge of manufacturing electronic assemblies that meet the technical cleanliness requirements of VDA 19? In this context, the question arises which class of clean room is necessary in order to achieve technical cleanliness. Overall, choosing a clean room class 1or 2 instead of class 3 can make sense in certain situations, especially when the cleanliness requirements are not as stringent and cost, flexibility or speed of implementation are important. To find the optimal solution, it is important to consider the specific requirements and objectives of the company. But anyone who has already dealt with clean rooms knows what enormous investment and operating costs arise in the course of this business decision. Are there other cost-optimised solutions to ensure technical cleanliness? We present you with solution options that not only control particles in a cost-efficient way, but also increase the reliability of your electronic assemblies.
